Samuel Kwan - Founder
Producer and artistic director of My Symphonic Hall, founded the company in the early 2013, is not one unfamiliar name in the music industry.
He has participated with numerous orchestras and performances since the early 90s in Singapore and overseas, he also collaborated with many local production projects such as Boku Films, Raintree Productions, Mediacorp Suria Channel, Orkestra Melayu Singapura, Yamaha Music String Ensemble, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Orchestra, People's Association and O School to name a few.
Other projects in the overseas including the participation in the 3rd Asia-Pacific Music Festival 2011 with the Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestra (Russia Federation), Seoul Pop Orchestra and Korea Symphony Orchestra 2012 and 2014 (South Korea). In 2015 he led a team of twenty-five musicians from the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra to Milan Italy for the Festival Notturni in con-junction with Milan Expo 2015, held in Palazzina Liberty.
In the Far East he also received an invitation to Japan Kagoshima, under the People’s Association he led a similar string ensemble to a cultural exchange together with local veterans like violinist Yew Shan and late maestro Adrian Tan for the Kagoshima Cultural Festival in October 2017. Also in Japan, he regularly participated in JAO {Japan Amateur Orchestra National Music Festival) which is held annually in different cities including the main capital Tokyo in 2020.
In 2015, a concert entitled “Joy” featuring the community orchestra and choir performing a renown work in the classical music world; Beethoven 9th Symphony! A documentary was co-produced showcasing this unique short film about Singapore and the community arts at large. It was aired aired in December with collaboration local Mediacorp TV station OKTO Channel.
Apart from his music aspiration, he also established special collaboration with many charitable organization such as ART:DIS Singapore (formerly known as Very Special Arts Singapore), Art It Forward and several Community Clubs since then. He is also currently serving also as a CCMC member in the Braddell Heights Constituency within the Marine Parade GRC advising the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra (Singapore's oldest and biggest community orchestra in People's Association) and the Junior Orchestra.
Since 2016, Kwan has made his focused travelling in the Asian region including China, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand. Some of his projects includes playing with the music team from the IFPWT (Intercessors for the Philippines Worship Team), a mentor and teacher to orphanages located in the Shan State of Myanmar and Thailand teaching music and the love for the Bible.
